What is your work process?
I like to be involved as early as possible in any project. This way I can listen to your story, problems, dreams or questions. I’m the most creative when I am limited in a brief, because I like to think “inside the box”. Based on this information, I look for a relevant concept. Every good design starts with a good idea! Afterwards, we can determine the style of the project together. This depends on the feeling that the story/portrait should radiate or we ensure that the designs fit within your corporate identity. Once everything has been approved, I provide the correct files or take care of the printing.
What software do you use?
I love working in Adobe Illustrator. This vectorial program not only offers me the possibility to work quickly and efficiently, but the limitation of the software also forces me to use simple shapes, icons and colors in a smart and creative way. Of course, I also have a lot of experience working with Photoshop and Indesign, but I prefer to start designing in my favorite program Illustrator.
Do you always work in the same style?
No, I've worked on projects in 3D before. If necessary, I use textures and once in a while I also draw by hand… This all depends on the project, but usually the design starts from a 2D phase. That's how my brain works best.

I’ve had the honor of working for Knack, VUB, Flair, VRT, Sony Music Entertainment, Hans Anders, Febelfin, Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde, Radio 2, Stad Leuven, Voka, UGent, Humbug, … Maybe your brand is the next one on this list?
Do you do animation too?
I'm not an animator and I don't have the skills for it at the moment. I enjoy working with other freelancers or companies, though my Art Direction skills always come in handy here. I’m open for collabs!
Do you also create logos or branding?
Although I did this in the past, I decided to focus less on logo and brand design. Occasionally, making a logo or branding sneaks onto my to-do list, but only if the client explicitly requests working with a portrait or in my typical illustration style.
